Thanks so much wizzstick for posting this. it brought a flood of emotions back to me as well. I was there as a young man for the whole thing. It saddend me too. I think of all of the lost years of life for my family. The expectations of Armageddon right around the corner, as even the reporter pointed out. :-)

Your Experience with Resigning as an Elder
by committeechairman ini'm considering resigning as an elder.
i'm not planning to fade or stop as one of jehovah's witnesses, just stop serving as an elder.. i have responsibility in the congregation and in circuit, district, rbc, etc.
and i'm completely exhausted.

I sat down one day and composed a letter telling of all my woes and medical problems. I too was very busy in the cong and circuit. I got a call from the co telling me how bad he felt and could he help in any way. I explained my situation and it was accepted. It has been years now and I hardly attend but must stay around for family sake. I do not want to lose them right now. Just keep reiterating the sickness issue and that you are tired out. I am sure that they will buy it and just keep your head down and all will work out and you can do whatever you want. And enjoy the real life without that baloney hanging over your head. If you have been here any time at all you already know that the whole religion is BS.

Homosexuality, the GB and the Bible

what the heck is up with the gb's obsession with this subject?.
as far as i can determine, jesus never said a single thing in reference to homosexuality.

The governing body are no better than most other religions. They are rotten to the core. The issue goes back to N H Knorr whoi was always obsedssed with masturbation and homosexuality. This is another thing that they use to keep people in fear. I am no longer bound by theur dogma.I am a Gay man I have been all of my life. I thought as a young JW that God would take the desire away. Ge never did. I feel horrible that I married a pioneer sister and that I ruined her life because all of my married years I could never pray myself straight. I am firm in my beleif that it is genetic.
I am not a thief, murderer I am a lover of people and have no desire to hurt anyone. And they use Levitucus 18 as proof and if they followed all written in that book they would rightly so be in jail. You not pick and choose from Gods word.

anonymouz An interesting observation to say the least. I have in my research found that some people beleive that the globalists funded the WT for CT Russell and the Mormons as well. Perhaps you know who I am talking about. I do agree that there is something not right in the organization. HI as many of you know I am a born in baptized and in good standing, but mentally out. When I was a kid it was always you will die soon and terrible pictures of horrid destruction. Then for a number of years not so much. Now it seems that it is being ramped up again. I think it is a desperate attempt to hang on to the ones they have left by scaring the crap out of them . Also when I was a kid the paradise book was all we had for kids and it scared me to death with its illustrations. A recent point By Cedars reinforced this when he discussed a new article about the birds being summoned to eat the flesh of those that don't make it through the big A and the scary birds of prey picture not good for kids. I have lived this over and over in my lifetime with them.
I feel they are getting desperate and will do anything to hang on to those they have. Let me know what you think.
